The new Audioslave project featuring Chris Cornell and the guys from rage against the machine (except de la rocha, cuz he quit....thus opening the door for cornell) is now avaliable for download!

hmm, i downloaded "cochise" and i must say i wasn't impressed. it's not that the voice of Cornell doesn't mix with Rage or something, it's because the riffs and melodies themselves are kinda weak.
i'd download more from that website, but the link doesn't work anymore

listen to a few other ones, its not really all Rage style riffing. I've always liked Cornell, it'll probably take awhile for me to get into this if it all.

cornells got a great voice, one that cant be toped in the more mainstream world. But nothing will replace zack. Rage's sound cant mix with cornells vocals. Thats why they broke up already.

rage against the machine was the first alternative band I listened to when I was just a kid, I got all the albums and I could play nearly every song on bass....
just after that I started getting into metal, so I checked out the new stuff, pretty ok, but I don't like cornell that much, that's why I don't like the whole idea of the 'new' rage against the machine.
the older stuff was ofcourse better, rage against the machine without zack just isn't rage against the machine!
