however, newer Obituary is kinda catchy like arch enemy, which makes them a lot better.............

go to mp3.com and search for bands like gorguts or something.. you can sometimes find good bands. There's a good band Commit Suicide on there.

i got a Century Media sampler CD with Krisiun on it, in the booklet, they describe em as:
"There are few acts whose work is so awe inspiring that the mere mention of the bands name is enough to cause an emotional stir. Krisiun is one of those bands."
well, i guess that is true, when i hear their name, I can rant on about how bad they suck........

TECHNICAL AND MELODIC IS A GOOD DESCRIPTION BUT I WOULDN'T SAY THAT
THEY ARE DEATH METAL. THE GUITAR IS TOO CLEAN AND THERE'S NOT ENOUGH THROAT SINGING. THEY'RE QUITE GOOD THO.
IMO THE REFERENCE IN DEATH METAL IS SUFFOCATION

I was going to say the same thing, and I actually LIKE Obituary. They couldn't hold Vader's jock, and Bolt Thrower completely blow them away.
As for the kid getting into death metal, you must seek out any and all Suffocation, Monstrosity, Malevolent Creation, and Hate Eternal. Krisiun are very good too, but I wouldn't prioritize them at the moment. |
