I just dug this up out of the vault and I clearly have been missing a good album the last five years (one that I've owned). I remember when it came out, it got berated everywhere for being too experimental or whatever. Whatever, this is a great album. It's experimental in that there are some King Crimson-like prog moments, but goddamn this album is fucking brutal too, and I'd go so far as to say it was the best thing Enslaved had put out at that point.
