When I look in the mirror,
All's exposed, the magnificent horrific universe.
And the counterfeit body in front of me,
All side fringed and handsome,
Because if I trick the world
I can trick myself.
But it's true, old habits die real fucken hard.
And as I change for the times,
The times don't change for me.
And so it comes to this again -
A naked man on cold tile
Opposite the cold naked man.
The razor frets skin.
But no blood is deliberately drawn,
The hair on the floor is trophy enough.
And testimony of the past,
Come up to raise it's ugly head again.
I can't fool myself into an undesireable world.

Aw, I see now. Now that I know what it is I think you did a cool job on the piece. Nothing was clicking for me so I didn't know how to comment on it.
Hair can be all sorts of emotional stuff so it was cool the way you did this.

[I change my image for the times in an attempt to forget the past and change myself]

But it's true, old habits die real fucken hard.
And as I change for the times,
The times don't change for me.

[But I can't fool myself, and even though my image changes I cant change my circumstances and erase my history, I cant stop who I am]

And so it comes to this again -

[Standing naked in the bathroom in front of a mirror, and the mirror reflects not only myself naked physically, but mentally, its a reflection of my soul, which is cold and ugly]

[Razor goes over my skin but I dont intend to draw blood, if I do its accidental, I dont need trophy scars to show my intentions, shaving off my beautiful hair is reprise enough to myself and my environment]

And testimony of the past,
Come up to raise it's ugly head again.
I can't fool myself into an undesireable world.

[and the shaving of the head just goes to show i cant escape my cold and ugly self, i cant trick myself into being happy with a cold and ugly environment]
