Dimension Zero
So I was wondering how many people here have heard of and/or listened to the Swedish band 'Dimension Zero'? I think they are WAY underrated and deserve much more recognition for their great contribution to the metal scene, if you haven't heard of them, I suggest you check them out if you like melodic black/death metal.

I checked them out ages ago as I was such a huge In Flames fan, but honestly I wasn't impressed. Just kinda generic if you ask me, no innovation at all. I think Dew-Scented are a band along the same lines that are a bit more enjoyable.

For those of you who haven't listened to them, you should really check them out if you like melodic metal with sickly screaming and excellent guitar harmonies. Here are some links :

Official Website (Check out the 'Media' section for some MP3 samples)
Keep it brutal!

Yeah man Silent Night Fever is great too.
Would this be considered 'Black Metal'?

purchased Silent Night Fever, about 3 years ago. i was disappointed with Jesper's lack of solos, on here. many empty parts that can be filled with the solos that i know he is more than capable of. and this contributed to me disregarding the cd. but, 2 years later (right now) i just put it in, and i must say, im feeling a little better about it, as a whole. im glad to have it in the collection, but its still going to get minimum play time, in my room. ...gah, why isnt he soloing in this album!
EDIT: its not that the only thing i care about is solos, at all, but when you like a musician for something, and then they dont do it, you feel "left hanging".

He records the bass and some of the guitar tracks in the studio. But plays bass live.

that clears things up. ...but its still missing my favorite thing about jesper
you know, when i first bought it, i saw a sticker on the front that said some stuff, i dont remember, but once i saw Jesper was in there, i guess i was expecting some amazing leads and shit. hence the disappointment.

Most of In Flames' better solos are by Bjorn or guest musicians...
I don't think Jesper really does any cool solos with IF.

Dimesion Zero is pretty sweet. They're in my regular rotation.

Jesper is more of a rhythm guitarist. And he's a very fucking solid rhythm guitarist. Daniel does most of the leads in DZ. Watch this video of them recording in the studio to see what I'm talking about.
God damn I love Jocke's vocals He has one of the most sickening, disturbing screams I have ever heard. But not too high pitched, he puts a good amount of phlegm in there.

Agreed once again. Jesper is a great rhythm and lead guitarist.

Anyone heard the new album yet? It's pretty good. Not really what I expected though.
