Menno: Joe Wolfe is said to be one of the most underestimated death metal musicians from overseas. Since I've never heard of the guy I suppose I can take that for granted, according to the biography he's was active in underground acts such as Clean Flesh and Erotic Incisions, both equally unknown to my ears.

His music then; Wolfe originally started Heinous Killings as a solo project. He recorded 'Hung by Barbwire' all by himself and Unmatched Brutality decided to give it a worldwide release. Joe clearly knows what he's doing, according to the fast and complex guitar parts. He even knows how to make interesting use of the drum computer, which is programmed in a very variable way. Variation can also be found in Wolfe's singing style; he masters several grunting techniques and uses them all with a sad exception to screaming. 'Hung with Barbwire' is anything from new, but Joe Wolfe put himself back on the map with Heinous Killings. He recently gathered a complete band around himself and is ready to conquer the world, it would be nice if he did.
