Dumbass question - do i need a stereo cord for a stereo amp?

It's a crate gx130c. I haven't pluged into it yet since i'm redoing my guitar's pickups but i need to order a new cord. I'm normally not this stupid but I want to use the amp properly and i've only had mono amps in the past.

Oh, nope. I dont think there is a single amp out there with a stereo input.
Every time i've seen a stereo amp, by stereo they meant the speaker outputs --> so you can plug it into 2 cabinets.

You would need an A/B splitter if you were gonna play 2 amps at once, but given this is not the case, one good ol 1/4" cable will do just fine.

Yeah dude, lots of people make them. Personally, i'd get the splitter (i forget who makes it) that has one button for a/b, and another button to engage y (both). It would be badass.

Im pretty sure you are referring to the Morley one, in which case I would avoid it as though it said Behringer on it. Ive heard horror stories, the thing just dont work right.

Or buy a Palmer A/B box, they're like 70 bucks, pro quality. Or get yourself an EQ pedal like that MXR 10-band that has 2 outs, then you wouldn't need an A/B.
