I NEED A LOTTA HELP

Alright I know almost nothing about music theory. However, I am working on music production with 2 programs (REASON 3.0 and RECYCLE)...For Recycle, in order to find out the Original Tempo or BPM of the sample I use, I need to know the "sign" or time signauter, and how many bars it is, but I have almost no idea how to do this. I would really appreciate any help anyone has to offer. Thanks in advance

You should prob google time signatures. It's something you really gotta listen for and understand the concepts. I believe there are several websites that let you listen to what different time signatures sound like. This is how I became familiar with em.

I digested time signatures through realising it's just a bit of simple arithmetic and some fractions.

Its more about complex time, but it displays regular vs. complex time.

Should definitely look at wiki/google for info on these matters, I find it hard to believe your using these programs to make music (I'm guessing) and didn't know this stuff.
