how do you harden the paint
i know there alot of threads about painting guitar body's but
could someone tell me how you get that factory finish once sanded.primed,
painted, clear coated? will it just go solid once finished or does it have to be baked like car body's

you need a paint booth. they have heaters that make the paint rock-hard after a few minutes of baking. you have to bake clear coat paint or it will take forever to dry, and will never be solid. I get mine done at work (we have an autobody shop in the back)

I've always gone with nitrocell. I get it done at a car painting shop, and they charge about $50AU.

Hahah!
I had to call around a little first, I suggest you do so too. Some are anal and rude, others do that kind of thing all the time.
