What's with you old man, and all these Japanese bands? The vocals are soo annoying. Recommend me something worth listening to from the land of Japan.

Eh... why I like Japanese music? I don't know. It's hard to explain. The music isn't that different from other countries music. But there is that something. For example, the vocals are very different. I like Japanese singers much more because their unique. (of course they must be good too) There is no other singers that sounds like a Japanese singer.
Then I've noticed that the bassists there are much better. (bass has always been very important to me. don't know why) Even those bands, that are classified as commercial, have amazing basslines. Even if people say they only pay attention to their looks, it's not true. Their music sounds much more professional than in most countries. (to me. everyone has their own taste) I know only few non japanese bands that has a good bassists. (I know most of the death metal bassists are amazing, but I don't like death metal) But of course I haven't heard all the bands in the world so I can't really say that. (so don't complain what I just said) But my point was that pick any japanese rock/metal band and you'll find fucking amazing bass lines there. (I haven't found any shitty bassist from Japan yet)
Meh, this post is getting too long. Those are just few reasons why I like them. It's not that I like every Japanese bands. I listen to more non Japanese bands than Japanese. But I'll stop talking now.
And the reason why I post about them is because I'm 100% sure no one else will.
Edit:

Oh and get Aikaryu's "Vampire De Manpai Ya" or something like that. The whole song is growls except the chorus.

I wasn't able to find that song. Maybe you could recommend something similar like that with ambient or doom influence.

Eh. Not my kind of folk/viking metal. The vocals were ok, but I think the intro riff on that song sucked. Very interesting attire though!!!

Haha. Well, like the link FBS posted. It's a thing called Visual Kei. I think most bands do it to get more attention. It was very popular in the 90's, but nowadays it's not that popular.

Yea, they got into a very bad car accident last year. Fortunately no one died and in December they announced that their back. Though they have a support drummer, because their drummer is still recovering from his injuries, but he'll still be in the band.
Yea, I know Malice Mizer. Not a fan though. Too weird for me. Some are good though.

Well, there's a band called Kagerou. They do everything from Thrash to Jazz ballads. And they have one Doom song too called "Marvelous na Kubi-kazari". They're definitely one of the best Japanese bands ever.

Vidoll is awesome. Check out a band called Phantasmagoria. I made a thread about them a while ago.

Oh, malice mizer is my favorite non-metal band, have you heard their stuff right before they broke up?

Yea, I've heard (I think) all of their songs. "Bel Air" or something like that is cool.
A bit off topic but, X JAPAN IS THINKING ABOUT A REUNION!!!! That would be like the best thing ever!
Ok, carry on.

I don't know. Maybe some various guitarists would play his part. All of them wanna do it, so they're talking about it. It's probably just a one concert, but even that would be fucking awesome.
