Recommend me some bands
Okay, so I'm going to need your guys help here. I'm looking for some decent bands to check out. I've just recently got into Melodic Death, but I am VERY picky and choosy of what I listen to. Only bands with a certain tone tickle my fancy.
I'm looking for bands with the same feel as
Amon Amarth
The Black Dahlia Murder
At The Gates
Through the Eyes of the Dead
I know what metalcore is and I'm not looking for metalcore, though if you have a decent metalcore (or deathcore) band to recommend then do so, but if it's something obvious (like Job for a Cowboy) don't bother. I've already heard most Deathcore/Metalcore bands.
Thanks for your guys help in advance.

Dark Tranquillity
Neaera
Arch Enemy
Death
Strapping Young Lad
That's all I can think of at the moment. there's already a Melodic Death Metal thread somewhere here, so I'd look there.

I'll be sure to check those ones out. I like Dark Tranquility. I don't like Arch Enemy (can't stand chick vocalists and I could tell it was a chick right off the bat). I'm downloading the rest as we speak. I'll let you know how that ended up.

Yes. I've heard most of those bands. They're older melo-death, but they don't really do it for me.

Gates of Ishtar and Night In Gales are two lesser known Gothenburg bands (but still classic) that should appeal to you.
Id also recommend the obvious proto-melodic death metal groups like Dismember and Entombed, if you havent checked em out already.
