Ive looked around on threads and havent really found any explaination on vocal distortion. I can do lows very well, but when i do high pitch vocals, its not as distorted as id like it to be. Its more hollow sounding(air), and not fluid distortion. Any tips on increasing DISTORTION, in vocals, not just pitch.

This seems mainly apparent in recording. When playing live it sounds alot more distorted when im screaming. Maybe its the way i use the mic when recording. Not 100% sure. Just looking for some tips to keep that distorted sound without effects.(good example would be graveworm or dimmu vocals)
