Kramer Striker??
Anybody know anything about the Kramer Striker? I just put money down on one that I saw in my local music shop because I know they're not very common. I haven't been having the easiest time finding info on this particular model. I googled it but it kept giving me this normal round body shaped one - see the one I'm buying is of the general Warrior / B.C. Rich Stealth shape. Anything you can share would be appreciated.

Warrior/Stealth-shaped Kramer? The only one like that that they made was the Kramer Voyager. Rare and long-discontinued, search ebay for it. It's not that similar to the stealth though.
Kramers aint that uncommon, look at www.musicyo.com , and you can also find tons of cheap good Kramers on ebay.

Yeah I know Kramers per se aren't that uncommon. I meant the model, which indeed has the Voyager-style body. However, according to my little bit of research, Kramer released the Striker series in 1984 as the Koren-made alternative to the USA and Japanese lines, in which there was a Voyager-style body guitar called the 500ST. This model was the answer to the Focus 5000. So as far as I know, it's a Striker. If it is a full on Voyager, then I guess at some point, someone threw on the current neck, which reads "Kramer Striker"... hence the confusion. Some specs are as follows: HHH p/u setup, Floyd Rose floating trem (not completely sure), volume knob, 2 tone knobs, 5 way toggle.

Check if it's an Original Floyd Rose, a lot of import 80's Kramers actually came with the real deal ones!
I've seen Voyagers go on ebay for 200-300$.

Hmmmeh. I wouldn't buy it man, 300 is a bit high. Looks like the early version of the FR bridge that didn't have the fine-tuners and it's only 22-fret and has only 1 vol pot. Yeah I wouldn't get it, don't like the finish, headstock, and PU config either.
I suggest lurking ebay for a 2nd hand BC Rich Ironbird, Charvel Star, Westone Dynasty, Jackson Warrior, or similar kinda guitar cuz you may snatch a better deal for a better guitar than that.

I know what you mean, I'm kind of shying away from it. But like I mentioned, who knows when I'll come across another like it or better? Perhaps I could just scarf this one up and then sell it. I've been looking for one of that style for a while now. Anyone else have any input?

Nah you can find much better guitars along the lines of that for the same price and less, with better hardware and looks too.
No fine tuners = very difficult to lock perfectly into tune.

I reckon it could be modded into a killer axe personally, if you wanted to spend the money, but as the others have said, there are better guitars you could start off with.

True, true. I guess I overestimated its rarity and overall value. If anyone sees one of the sort (preferably post 1984), then please share with me. Thanks for the input.
