social security
you smell like cat piss
good, lets call that a forcefield
that emits a 15 foot radius of fuck you
the smell of hard work and success
at what is yet to be determined.
this smell speaks a language of hostility, misery and pain.
between each syllable.
there was a bum in the hallway
in a little doorless closet where the phone lines are situated
a bottle of vodka and a fresh pack of cigarettes lay near
it was the first of the month yesterday.

i recycled thursdays cup today
microwaved cowboy coffee in a mug
give it about 15 minutes for the grain to settle.
just dont drink the bottom inch.
working my way to a cup of liquid no-doz and robotussin.

when i asked if he had drumheads made out of bullet proof armor.

oh yeah, there is a little meaning there in the last line of the first for those who dont live in the US of A
the first day of each month<and i think, the fifteenth as well> is when social security checks are issued, thats free money for people who are retired, insane or handicapped to the extent that they cannot work to earn enough dough to survive.
this is a true story, bum slept there yesterday and again this morning, fully stocked with items that will no doubt kill him eventually, paid for by his "social security" check.

Not everyone abuses them though. Some do and some have no one that cares about them so they cease to care about themselves. You hit on a few darkly colorful aspects though.

i dont understand why you are explaining this.........
SSDI would be the technical term, covers physical or mental disability. you can still work while recieving SSDI, its just usually people dont.
its still social security.
