Digitech rp350?

I've tried it briefly and was wondering if anyone had advice on it? I'm going to buy either it or a boss me-50, at same price (2500 nok (333 dollars)

I'll be testing both tomorrow in a store, but as for the rp350, I was wondering how much you can do on the computer with it (as it appears to come with USB), and if someone has had bad experience with it.
I think it feels quite shit itself design wise, it's light, has plastic covering and the pedal feels loose (might just be that one).

Oh, and would any of them sound different on my shitty (emphasis on the shitty) kustom 35dfx (mono celestion crap) than it would in one of the ones in the store? (I'm guess I'd be using a high quality tube amp)

edit-- Might I also add that I want to be able to record atleast decently, (currently using the line-out of my amp into my mic input on my pc as it sounds like shitty fake bullshit)
And I can't afford a sound card at the moment.

Way too expensive for what it is man. I have an ancient RP1, and it's really nothing special, only payed 90% for it and even the newer ones aren't substantially better.

You want to record with it? Man get a 2nd hand Engl E620 preamp or save 100 bucks more and get a new Engl E530. It will kick your ass for recording.

As Soeru says. Good preamp -> computer will kick the shit out of that. Engl 530 is 3000 used in mint condition and turns up quite often, check finn.no and musikkweb.no for ads (plus: marked.gitarnorge.no and sound1.no sometimes has useful stuff).

I was considering saving up for a ENGL stack in the future when I get/have a job (I'm 15)

Aren't preamps for heads or something (requiring a stack/cabinet?)

But recording is just a side as I could use my microphone any day

And the two stores here doesn't sell ENGL equipment here (as far as I know), so I wouldn't be able to try them either

Where the hell do you live? Anyway, i kinda get what you mean, but then again I'm only two hours from oslo and there you can try powerballs, Diezels, recto's, peavey's etc.. You don't need a cab for a pre, you monitor with a pair of headphones and record through a cabinet simulator.. But anyway, for cheapo price and gold tone: Peavey rockmaster. Around 1500-2000 NOK, put out an "ønskes kjøpt" ad..

Don't mind trying Engl's man, buy one and you won't regret it.

The pre can be hooked up to an amp head or combo amp, or you can buy a seperate poweramp and cab.

Same shit as a 350, but it won't sound like garbage, and fill you with a bunch of useless effects.

Btw with the E530 pre you don't need cabinet simulation(a Behringer DI/cab sim only costs 35 bucks anyway), it already comes with it integrated.

I live in Ålesund, I doubt the stores here have ENGL (one might have but have it but hidden or shit)

Peavy is a bit bigger chance I might find though, but if I find a rockmaster isn't that definite. Also I would like to try or hear it before buying it.

Might as well add that I play mostly Black, Death and Thrash metal. And have recently started soloing (but shit)
