don't cry, opeth. the bands forum is now entirely devoted to black metal, didn't you know that? Any thread other than will eventually fall to the bottom and die.
My suggestion, start a thread asking everyone what kind of paint you're supposed to use on your face, they'll answer you. Start a thread that goes on about how many spikes you have on your brand new gauntlet, they'll definately go for that one.
I never really did like Fates Warning, even though I only heard 'em a few times.

argh, finaly grabbed a few tracks...not wat i expected. i managed to score 3 tracks just then, some not bad guitar work, a sweet vocals, but the whole power'ish thing doesn't really do it for me. but they dont deserve the infernum of my recycle bin, so i think i'll keep them  |

Kevin moore (yes, the kevin moore that use to be in dream theater) is in fates warning. Dont expect some mad keyboard solos though, his role is far beyond just showing off. The vocals for this band are the best prog vocals I've ever heard. My description of this band would be prog metal, with influences of thrash metal.

Yeah, "Grey" is the shit. I was sharing a place with a mate who is right into FW. I was impartial to them until he played them all the freaking time. Then it started to grow on me and after "Grey" came out, I was hooked. Because it was a concept album and each song ran into the other, that's how they played it live... the whole album at once. Absolutely awesome!

They have a live CD out for that album and I believe a DVD (or it's on the way... I can't remember).
