Need help putting pedals in line

i have no idea where to put my boss ns-2 noise suppresor pedal into my 'rig' i have an ampeg vh-140c with an mxr 10band eq pedal, Boss Tuner pedal, and the boss ns-2 running to my guitar. the only thing is im not sure where to put it in the lineup to use it to the best of it's ability. it's got an output, input, send, and return jacks and i just dont know which to put where i'm thinking of putting it guitar --->(plug into input)boss ns-2 (going from output)--->mxr eq--->tuner--->amp will that work?

Use it in the FX loop(Preamp Send/Poweramp In jacks on Ampeg VH's) after all the effects to get the best results with a NS2.

The EQ could also sound better in the FX loop depending on what you're using it for.

Nice rig btw.

there is a right (chorus) and a left (dry) on the back for a preamp/poweramp, but theres also an fx loop in the front what is the difference between running them through the two?

Just run it in the regular FX loop then. I thought (from pics I've seen) that the Ampeg didn't have a labeled FX loop, that they just called it "Preamp Out/PA In".

The preamp outs with Chorus and Dry do just that, one sends a signal with the chorus effect and the otherone is used to bypass the chorus.

I want an ampeg.

cool dude thanks a lot, i don't even know why they stopped making them doesn't really make sense, metalheads would buy them and the clean channel is really good too so can't really see a downside to selling them

Yes. The effects loop is a patch point between the preamp and the poweramp, the reason you put pedals such as noise suppressors and EQ's in the effects loop is because most of the amps tone is generated in the preamp. By putting the pedals AFTER the preamp they have the most effect because they are manipulating the signal coming from the preamp instead of the preamp manipulating the signal coming from the pedals.

So yes, the send/out of othe effects loop goes into the pedals, and then the pedals go back to the in/return while your guitar just plugs straight into the amp. Got it?
