What is thought about Bogner amps?
Hey what is thought about Bogner amps here? I rarley see them mentioned at all. I think they sound fucking awsome. The Uberschall is like the ultimate metal amp!

I played my Powerball up against my friends Bogner Ecstacy, the thing was so incredibly versatile. I liked some of the distortions on the Powerball a bit better, but overall it absolutely slayed. But at $3700, no thanks.

3700 is list price, i saw an ecstacy for around 1400 US in a store...
kinda like marshall tsl 100 list price is 2500, but it sells for 1700.

I really like the Uberschall. I saw one for $2500. So not that bad. I might pick it up.
Steve Vai uses bogner as well. And Cattle Decapitation.
Would you say the Uberschall is good for Death Metal?

Haha hell yes it is. Maybe not the super old school DM but that amp most definitely is one of the baddest mother fuckers on the market today.

I dunno I think you can get some old school sounds out of it. It's really dirty and raw but also clear and tight. I doubt you would need a booster for this puppy.

Behemoth is using a Bogner Uberschall on their upcoming album, the sample studio vids they had sounded pretty fuckin brutal! Definately an amp I'd like to try, but nothing I'd buy blindly without being sold on the sound first. The only expensive amp I would buy without trying would be a Powerball as I have a Fireball.

I don't know what crazy store is selling them for $1400... I'd buy one right now. the xtc reall does go for over 3000 new. the average cost for a used one is just under $2500.
