right, i can growl, daylight dies style and dissection style. but i cant scream to save my life, how is it done? i wanted to learn something along the lines of what Alexi Laiho does.

his finnish accent? i can put that on pretty easy being half finnish and all but it still doesn't sound right, so far i've found stretching my throat out a bit and tensing it near the top produces similar sounds but that makes the back of my throat itch :S

If the back of your throat hurts/itches, you should give it a rest for a while. Keep trying a normal scream (like you're really mad or something) until you find the pitch you're looking for. Then practice that for a while. That's what I do.

For older Laiho just scream with the back of your throat, like a high pitched growl, for new shitty laiho vocals just talked like a drunken, pissed off Scandinavian
