Or for any fuckin auditorium for that matter! I didn't know their was anything louder than the BV-300! :O Well whatever we post know isn't gonna be as interesting as that, but...

Nifty. 4 five inch speakers, like 30W or so with the extension cab. Because of the construction it has(angled baffle, closed back, and multiple speakers) the projection it has is said to be really good, gets really loud and sounds awesome. I have been gassing for one myself, but I most likely end up getting a:

Check out this weird vertical retro Ampeg combo. Looks like it's from some 1950's alien invasion sci-fi film: http://cgi.ebay.com/Vintage-AMPEG-J...1QQcmdZViewItem

OK, this is my chance to ask internationally - how many of you have come across the brand George Dennis? ( http://www.george-dennis.cz/pages/theblue.htm I own a The Blue 100 combo)
The only one ever I've seen in this country I bought and I haven't so far met anyone who has even heard of it. Nice allround thing, a bit like a Vox, though I will never understand what they were hoping for from the "Crunch" channel.

what about blue amps? I tried looking online and found nothing about them.
The dude from Deadsy uses them and even though I'm not down with the music, his distortion is mind crushing

Ah yeah I've heard of those Zvex's. 5W tube is still pretty loud. I wanted a solution without micing. Still don't know if I'm keeping my Engl and getting a Palmer PDI09 and USB/Firewire interface, or selling it altogether and getting an Engl pre, interface and amp. Such indecision.

That was exactly what I was planning to do. I was gonna get a Koch loadbox(basically a power soak + DI xlr out with cab simulation and mic sim). But I wouldn't be able to buy a cab then. So now I may either sell my Engl and get something completely new or keep it, buy a Framus 2x12 cab(cause I'm selling my 4x12 regardless) and get a Palmer PDI-09(DI box that works with speaker levels and has cab emulation, sounds incredible for recording).
I'd love to try an Ampeg Lee Jackson head, they have built in attenuators and DI outputs!

i don't think there is anything custom about it. it's just an older single channel ad30. they only make twin channel ad30's these days. which is nice to have two channels, but the single's are much thicker and better sounding on the overdrive.

yeah you're right, its noncustom from the looks of it
they the custom shop off their website... but its still in their catalogue. They have the AD50 and Retro50. Basically amps that are point to point handwired, and have a switch to change from A to A/B for some extra wattage. The only difference i can see is that the AD50 has a sustain boost thingie in it, and the retro has a combo option.

yeah, the AD50 basically seems to be like an old single channel AD30, but you're able to switch the wattage from 30w class A(powertubes cooking all the time) to 50w class A/B(more headroom at lower volumes)... the sustain boost seems interesting too.
