Koch LB120 II power attenuator?
I figure I'll make a thread out of this as my previous thread is kinda goin off topic, and so others can gain info on this thing.
I own an Engl Fireball tube head and I'm selling my 4x12 and getting some recording gear, as I'm buying an Ampeg combo to use for practice/rehearsal, and I don't need another loud amp at home, I just wanna use my Engl head for recording. I was also considering selling my Fireball and getting a preamp but since I think I would miss the sound so much, I considered buying this attenuator/soak with DI out and cab/micing simulation. It seems perfect for my needs(silent high quality recording with my head).
I plan to run my Engl Fireball head into this thing(at full attenuation of course), into a 150-200$ USB recording interface/mic pre for PC's via XLR(ie: Tascam US-122, Tapco Link USB, M-Audio Fasttrack/Pro).
From all the information I have gathered, is this going to sound absolutely amazing for my home-recording endeavors?
