I got a 5150 problem
So, I bought a used 5150(Witch I love) and played with it on low volumes in my room for a while, sounded AMAZING. Then I went to band practice, turned the volume up to about 5, and after about 20-30 mins of practice, everytime I would stop playing, I Would get this horrible loud squealing sound, and it would seem like it was my amp, and my friends amp, and the bass amp, all makeing this sound togeather.
So, we did some tests and it only happened when my amp was turned above 3 on the postgain. Then I tryed turing my amp to 5, and turning all the other amps off, and no squealing sound, untill I played for a while, then it would come back, and make horrible noises, I check the tubes in the back, and they are glowing blue like they should.
Now, is it just all the amps to close togeather and interfearing with eatchother or something, and Im useing EMG pickups(if that helps any) and would a noise gate or something help this?
Also, I wanted to know, when ever I move the amp, I hear this rattling sound, I think its just the spring for the reverb shakeing, but I Don't know to much about thease kind of things.

I would say that if it only happens at practice, then its the amps interfering with each other. Just try turning the amps so there facing away from each other.

Squealing is typical of bad preamp tubes if its a tube problem. Preamp tubes should be replaced every 1-3 years and power tubes about every year. If you got the amp used I would recommend replacing the tubes especially if you have had it more than a year.

If you don't get these squealing issues at home, it's not a tube problem. The amps are most likeley interfering with each other.

This paragraph would lead me to believe that it is a problem with his amp.
