OH GOD!
My ears are fucking BLEEDING after hearing this shit! Seriously man, what the fuck is this? It even pisses off my rats, and they never complain about anything that gets pumped out of my speakers.
Ps: Did you rip your fucking bass knob off?

Hey I just heard this band live! I turned up amp to 10, left my guitar leaning against my bed and threw rocks at it from down the hallway.

i can hear the attempt for drone. can't hear any sludge.
could benefit from a way better recording.

He said it best. Sucky dude.
The Egyptian theme is reserved for Nile. Seriously though. Mercyful Fate did Egypt well, and no one has really done Egypt well after Nile, they are seriously epic and at the top of their game. It's also obvious you're copying many of their riffs. Maybe not intentionally, but there's only so much you can do with the egyptian scales, and their intervals, and well, Nile have made a lot of fucking songs.
Geez, the 'melodic' part in the first song on your space is god-awful. I mean, fucking horrendous. I am listening to your shit as I type, and goddamn, Goddamn.
Here's my reccomendation for you:
Listen to more of the music you like. Realise it's not this terrible. Forget this project, and the egyptian theme, think of it as 'warm up'.
With a fresh head and fresh ideas, put effort into something a fuckload better.
Good Luck dude

whats "egyptian"? is that like a particular scale or something?<beyond the fact that the band has an egyptian theme going>
im just wondering.
i listened to one of the dudes songs and egypt did not come to mind.....maybe like, too many effects at one time sorta thing but maybe im the one who cant discern egyptian folk music or something out of what the music was trying to do.
id like to know the scale or kind of scales used to sound "egyptian"

That's pretty much the "egyptian-ness" they are talking about.
It could be better with better recording perhaps.
P.S. Check your PMs, axis and allies.

oh i see.
i listened to more of this stuff.
sounds more noise than drone.......the way i feel towards straight noise music is it has to have context with something else, for me to enjoy at least.
like with video or as an interlude with a live band.

This would definitely benefit from a recording that dosent sound like a mic placed in the general vincinity of your HOUSE. If you are serious about it, try investing in garageband or maybe even Logic Express. And for the love of god, someone find his bass knob!

Are you satirising my comment? I didn't say that.
Nile's songs sound very different imo. I don't understand how they achieve the Egyptian sound with so much chromaticism going on in their music.

i guess it is.
i had some roomates years ago who would take a synth with one note taped down to listen too on occasion.
the shit was kinda odd, ive never seen people do this before. they would refer to doing this as "man, i need to drone out" or something to that effect. so we'll be hanging out and someone tapes the note and everyone sits down, chills out....smoke some weed or some shit.
so i always assumed drone was either a continious hum or many hums and sounds<from anything really> or be like what sunno))) does. 3 or 4 chords played seemingly forever.
so i always assumed drone was like the minimalist version of noise or doom<if the group plays conventional instruments>
