Switching out
I got an Ibanez RG370 and the floyd rose is failing on me. I want to switch it out with a Edge pro. Is it possible, or do I have to replace it with the same floyd rose bridge?

im pretty sure you can switch it to an original floyd rose with no problem, but i think you have to make some modifications to install an edge pro.

Well if it's failing on you, I wouldn't get the same bridge, I'd take the opportunity to upgrade to a stable high quality trem.
This site has lots of info and I remember reading an article about which tremolo systems are interchangeable with other Ibanez trems or OFR's, forgot the exact section but it's there:

No way a RG370 has a LFR and their pretty low quality. The knife edges on them wear out if you look at them wrong . Why spend all the money on putting a new tremlo on such a low price guitar. You could get a higher quality S or RG ibanez for only a few hundred bucks more than it's going to cost you to put a new tremlo on your cheap guitar.

I already got a new guitar, RG 1570, but I want to keep my backup in good shape. Because of my bridge problems, I don't have a backup guitar. And I don't want to spend a few hundred bucks.
See, here's my problem with the older guitar: The bridge is all jacked. The metal on the saddles is softer than the strings so it creates like a little notch where the strings are pressed into it. So I every time I change the strings I have to screw the block tighter and tighter. That is also causing the threads inside the saddle to strip.
What bridge is best to replace it with?
