Hardcore is for douchebags
oh, you play in drop-d and go off-tempo while some guy with sideburns and a lip piercing screams like a bitch over it? good for you, too bad that shit isn't even real music.
sometimes i show up to the opening bands of a show i'm going to, just to push the hardcore kids over while doing their douchebag twirl. if you're at a place where you shove the shit out of a hardcore kid so he leaves a skidmark with his face, and the people around you give you high fives, then you're at a true metal show right there.
i could find someone who's been playing drums for a month, choose ANYONE on my block to scream over it, and improvise with guitar, come up with some name like "Killing habits amidst silence..." and probably get signed within a year. that's what music has come to these days.
