Its interesting how a lot of people take it the same way you do, very competitively. Most people get placed in silver or bronze at first anyway, I wouldn't worry about where you are because there is always a shitload of players better anyway.

There was actually a whole mini-essay somewhere about the psychological aspects of starcraft 1v1 games. Basically it makes people feel great when they win, and feel worthless when they lose, and in some cases this is when the bad manners start spewing out from the losing player. So just forget about your ego and have fun, most people can't seem to do this.

I got placed in Bronze, even after beta, and now I'm in upper Platinum and stuck there so you could probably do about the same. Didn't really take much time either. most of my games are from when I crawled up to plat.

Was programming video games for a good minute. Ones I started back school the guy started acting funny, so I just walked out. He started acting funny about money and the gangster side of me doesn't care for that much. So filled out three applications last night, turned them in today shooting for a server job. Even though I have a deep hatred for human kind, tips can be good.

I might head back to bouncing part time if someone needs one. Just after pulling that 3 month stint last year working at the club for a friend, it takes its toil on you. Even though I try to be wiser than I use to be when I first started bouncing(me about 19 years old), I can still manage to get my self involved in an all night drinking bench with the owner(s), and coworker(s). Also, I'm married now and I don't trust my self in that enviroment again, the things I did. I hope that I can make it if push come to shove with it, I'll keep my ring on at all times hell even then though some women don't care.

I'm hoping for a club bartender job position to come up, that way I can go to school, be a server like at a high volume or high class place that closes about 10:30, and on Fri & Sat nights bartend some where. The women bartenders i use to work with told me to always take your wedding band off, you get more tips(they claimed it went for both genders). Gotta do what you gotta do I guess.

Just my hours for school suck right now, I go from approx Monday-Friday 9:30-3:30. The breaks I have between class's suck man(Hour Long Breaks). This schedule also made the guy act funny about money(he thought he was gonna get over 30 hours out of me for like 55% reduced pay, screw that. I may not have broke 40 but I was at 32.5 something, no way in hell I'd take a 55% reduction). But come to find out he's software and hardware firm are going broke so, it sucks because the people I worked with were good guys. But I'm sure they have backup plans, and maybe this final project will turn out good; because it is the last project, funds are low. It was alot of bull too, like I've worked my ass off my whole life and worked hard and I gotta say for all the people I worked for(mostly part time because I held that full time one for seven years(my first job) until moving) I've never met a boss like him. Yes I'm ranting at this point but who cares. I don't know if he was like always fretting his business was barely making it or what, but there were a millions things that I could have pointed out to this guy to help save money. I mean anyone could have seen where the corners were to save cash, but for some reason he didn't. But I saved him some money. I could have choked that guy out, not trying to sound bad online, but if he would have been 20 years younger I would have. It was just the integrity party I guess that pissed me off. Just another snake in the grass, whom will get his I guess in due time. Thought about turning the guy in(lots of pirating and name infringement going on there.) My stuff was legit I used linux,java, php, etc. Open source stuff. Apparently he did the same to two other guys as well. But turning him in would mean him loosing everything, and someone at that age I don't want that on my conscience. Live and let live I guess. I mentioned it to someone yesterday and they hit me with a quote from the bible which quite amused me, "Let him who is without sin cast the first stone". It was stated just at the right time where my brain was like very true.

Anyway back to school, you guys know I've been in college ever since I signed up for this board. I started college in Jan 06. Well guess what after my transfer to the new university I still have 2 and a half years left, and not enough finacial aid to cover it(Got just enough for next semester). Worried shitless that I'm gonna be stuck with almost 30+ thousand dollars in loans, and not have a degree to get a job in programming that pays good to pay them off.

Honestly, the older I get the more it seems like the world is out to get me. But I guess bad choices in the short term can lead to grave results in the long term. Blah Paddy where the fuck is the time machine at? I need to go slap my 16 year old self in the face.
