Rivera Knucklehead Reverbs

Does anyone have any info on these. I listened to the Knucklehead 100 clips on the rivera.com website under tone samples and I thought that they sounded pretty good. Are Rivera Knucklehead Reverbs a good metal amp that will get Old School Cannibal Corpse Tones? I know a Crate GX130C will be the common recommendation for those types of tones, butI find that solid state amps lack power and want to find a gritty super saturated and compressed preamp type distortion w/ good power which is why I am trying to find a tube head that will do this. Thanks

riveras are very nice amps, the knuckleheads are good all around imo. i had a knucklehead II for a while. and there were no cannibal corpse tones there.

I was thinking of getting a GX130C but I decided not to, not just because of the weight but reliability. They're faulty amps in many cases. I suggest grabbing yourself an Ampeg Vh-140C for 300-400$ which = THE oldschool DM tone + Ampeg reliability.
