Ubiquitous Mayhem: The Clone Wars
Finally compiled a rough draft for the lyrics to a song I made a while ago. Right now I'm retabbing it out on Guitar Pro and am gonna add a short guitar solo and some piano to it.
Be aware, the song itself is about 13 minutes long, so I sort of divided the Lyrics into 3 chapters. I'll post one chapter every once in a while after a few replies.
Chapter I; The Political Tension at Corusant
(Intro)
(Pre-Verse)
Verse 1:
Many Millennia
It stood
Through wars with darkness
The Republic remained whole
Word of mouth from an Idealist
Paranoia spread through the galaxy
Out of fear they left their seats
Out of the Republic, become Sepratist
A league of systems
Aware of the corruption
That sits in the center
Spreading throughout the core
More division in the Hall this secession breeds
Some demand action, a ful-scale conflict
Force is the answer to keep the galaxy whole
No debate, no delay, send the the troops to war
the contrast shouts in opposition
There is no emotion, there is peace
Diplomacy crucial, it can't be denounced
No blood musst be over this schism
Debate erupts, some for peace, others not
No solution can be found in a pool of beaurocrats
the dark side hides all answers, the Jedi are lost
They'll end up on a path they could never forsee
A final hope from Naboo flys down from the heavens
Her influence strong, her heart pure
Peace is what she offers, and what others fear
Crosshairs of hate highlight her angelic face
Chorus:
Democracy crumbling
Beaurocracy boiling
Underneath the fog and ash
Tyranny can be seen rising
War blinds the politics
Reasoning lost from sight
Sacrifice freedom for power
Totalitarianism is the favored result
Out of the kettle and into the fire
Keepers of the peace will become soldiers
The future is set but must be reached
Enter the Clone Wars!
Verse 2:
The lady of peace, Senator of Naboo
The target of power-hungry men
Her signifigance so great, others die for her
She feels guilt for being, but has no choice
Two men, Jedi, followers of the light
Pledge their protection, begin the investigation
It was fate that bright them to her aid
They are a key to a lock on the future
Her attacker, strength and cunning are his games
A descendant of an ancient warrior race
A bounty hunter, bearer of Mandalorian blood
More than a pawn in this game of Dijarek
Through the stars, the JEdi Master follows
Uncovers more than he expacts and fears
On the world of water, the catalyst awaits
An army of clone, Army of the Republic
He finds the host, a hunter named Fett
A duel erupts, the assassin escapes
Into the fighter, chase after the hunter
To a planet of dust and stone he arrives
Geonosis, the dormant substance in the solution
alone it is silent, beneath the surface it lives
The threat of the Seperatist is unveiled
A droid army, lead by a Dark Lord of the Sith
The debate is over, war is the answer
Arm the soldiers, prep the cruisers
No time for tears, no need for words
The shroud has fallen, begun the Clone War has
(Chorus)
(Bridge)
End of Chapter 1.
Chapter 2 tomorrow.

..... Goddamnit.
Here's the second chapter;
Chapter 2: Begun the Clone War Has (Battle of Geonosis)
Interlude-
Part 1-
(Bass solo)
Part 2-
Across the ridged dusty surface
Balls of fire and plasma erupt
An army of metal, an army of flesh
both mindless spawns ordered to kill!
A squad of droidekas rolls in
Plowing through the clones who oppose
A commando jumps on top of one
Shreds it to pieces with his vibroblade
Die, Clinker, Die!
Man that walker, take that spire
Aim at their ships, shoot them down
Plow through the storm, shred them to pieces
Show no mercy, reluctance is death
Power cells charged, missles loaded
Helmets locked, comm signal poor
Expect heavy resistance, know their flaws
Use their frailty to your advantage
Part 3-
A cloud of dust, a cloud in their minds
Victory wasn't questioned, death was the problem
Will they live to fight the future
Will this baron world be their grave?
Part 4-
Blood and oil stain the ground
Sulfer and ozone cloud their air
Destruction is never debated
A war means needed casualties
(repeat)
Breakdown;
For the Republic(Empire)!
For Democracy(Autocracy)!
(Guitar solo)
Instrumental; Jedi Vs. Sith
(Guitar Break)
(Firefight)

Last chapter.
Chapter III; The End at Utapau
Outro;
Part 1- Clones Vs. Droids
The last, the long awaited finale
Hope is in the galaxy's reach
The end to the apocalyptic Butchery
The promised peace at arms length
From above in theheavens, into the "holy" hell
The ships descend to conquer and liberate Utapau
In the caotic rampage, one thought dominated their minds
"Even if I die, their end is nigh!"
Part 2- Kenobi vs. Grievous
In the eye of this viscious hurricane
The Jedi Master chases his destiny
His adversary is the key to the lock
the lock that is held on the desired harmony
A man of flesh against a man of steel
Both fluent in their skills with the saber
Technique won't win this fight for life
The Force shall determine the fate of the galaxy
"Bang, Bang!"
(Last measure; laser blast, Grievous agony grunt)

I wasn't too sure about the first chapter. I may change it so it isn't so short and all blahblahblahblah. I might make small changes to the 3rd one, but it'll stay the same overall.
Finally, someone commented on this. I felt like I wasted my time.
Here's the Gp5 file, and the MIDI because the Wave is too big.

I just want you to write a song about Jar-Jar and the Ewoks. Preferably something with dancing in it.

Jar Jar? Ewoks? That's not metal. Jar Jar is gangsta and Ewoks are gay.

My point was if you are determined to write every song about Star Wars for some reason, why are you ignoring all the cutsies bullshit that George Lucas also peppered his universe with?

"Cuties Bullshit" is not becoming of a Sith! Besides, I don't know how you could make a song about Gungans or Ewoks...... this is not an invite for you to try. <_<
BTW, does anyone understand the pun I used in Chapter three, "'Holy' Hell?"

What Baron instead of barren?
Maybe you should write songs about Frank Herbert's Dune. This Star Wars thing is pretty played out at this point.

I disagree. I have a few more ideas of things to talk about. I was thinking of making 3 songs about the three Sith Lords from KOTOR II, each song representing what they each stood for;
Darth Nihilus- Hunger
Darth Sion- Pain
Darth Traya/Kreia- Betrayal

There are probably more songs about Dune than Star Wars. But Dune represents an (unfortunately, to my mind, but necessarily) dead strand in sci-fi, one that could only have existed when there was a wide belief that people on psychedelics could save the world and Islam was the Orientalist fixation of the day, so it might be tricky for a teenager today to channel it.
Personally I'd rather see a PK Dick-based song. But that's a matter of religion, and I don't see CtL converting.

PST, there's the ecology aspect of Dune which could be relevant to today's society. Also the human potential (physical and mental) that could be useful in for any society as far as I'm concerned. I agree with your other points.

In this instance i "see" the negativity of the nazi mod, but..that is not to say that he is right..In my time i have expounded the virtues of Dickens and Carlos Castaneda...and the song has in fact remaind the same..but the pictures have changed.. What this language has evolving to is in fact that change.. and if we can not recognize....go fish..
