Cabs for triggering the bassdrum

Hi! ;9

So, our drummer would like to try triggering his bassdrum...he wants to get the Alesis D4 as module and a ddrum bd trigger. He just doesnīt know about the cab(s).
I think that two cabs are needed for sure and they should be active as well...but which cabs would you recommend? Or is one cab enough?

As I already said, I donīt know much about this, so I just checked out the PA-Section of an online shop...there are "active fullrange cabs" ( http://www.thomann.de/at/aktive_ful...utsprecher.html ) and "active bass cabs" ( http://www.thomann.de/at/aktive_bassboxen.html ).

Which sort of cabs is the right one for triggering...and can you recommend any cabs (maybe even one which is listed on this site).
Price shouldnīt be too high...its only for our practice room...If we use triggers on gigs, we will just try to do it with the pa-system at the location.

Well, Iīm happy about any helpful answer!

When my old band used triggers for practice we just used a regular P.A. with any 'ol monitors, just make sure you take some time and investigate where to put them for best results. Two cabs would be optimal, one should be a 'spot' monitor pointed at an angle at the drummer's head from the back so they hear what is triggered as well as the band mix. You don't really need any special monitors at all, as long as they are working and decent. It's all about the mix and placement.
