Instrumental Software?

I had no idea where to put this but i guess this was the best spot to put it. Anyways i was wondering how bands make their instrumental songs, i.e. morbid angel - Ascent Through the Spheres, emperor - opus a satana, old man's child - ...As Evil descends, etc. Stuff without the normal instruments. I'm assuming there's some kind of software involved? if so what are they called? Thanks in advance guys

I don't know for sure, but I would imagine any sequencing program (i.e. Fruity Loops) could do this. You can sequence just about any sound possible...

Keyboards and synths, probably hardware as opposed to software, mind.

Thanks for the recommendation man, i'm learning how to use the program right now. I'm trying to imitate sentient 6 by nevermore right now hehe. Why the hell did they name this program fruity loops anyways?

Well, it's a program to create sound loops. Fruit Loops is the name of a popular cereal. I guess they had a sense of humor.

You can go a long way with good synth software and a controller keyboard.

East West symphonic orchestra

get the silver version as its affordable. compared to the gold. I think most EW programs are pretty useful though Ive not used many in depth. Normally find them a bit confusing, but yeah, EWSO is good. Real samples of all the elements of a symphony orchestra.
