Heavy Metal Lute
Hi,
Are there any metal bands that play lute in their music? I know there is Blackmore's Night but I would like to listen to heavy bands that play lute.

i didnt even know that people still made lutes... i thought they were something only found in museums... like lyres and whatnot.

i imagine there would be many more black/folk metal bands that use lutes just a little but 1) many of them go out of tune extremely easily 2) many of them have upwards of 20 strings which some players can't handle 3) they are just very very expensive. the cheap lutes are upwards of 2-3 thousand because next to nobody makes them

Has anyone got a line on the following instruments in metal:
Aeolian Harp
Mandolin
Sitar
Theremin
(Don't say Led Zepplin)

there's a lute metal band called Bardgore. they have songs like Violent Anal Satire, Baroque Genocide and Rectal Renassaince.

I can only think of these bands that used some type of ethnic instrument in their music alot: Butterfly Temple from Russia... Orphaned Land, Nokturnal Mortem on "Goat Horns" and a few tracks [they could probably be synths though], and Black Messiah on "Sceptre Of Black Knowledge."
