Hopefully Ibanez will mass market that guitar - it certainly caught my attention.

It is real. my friend (the guy making my custom) is a total Necrophagist fan and met up with the band in Newport (Wales) and spoke with them for over an hour, and Muhammed has that Custom, and is thinking about some deal with Ibanez. I think it's their way of demonstrating what they could do for him as an endorsee.
He hasn't signed anything yet, but he probably will.

Awesome. I tell you what, he must be rolling in the do to afford all the amazing gear he's sported over the years. Hand-made 'Riches, Custom Ibanez's...

Those seem to be EMGs (silver logo, which I think is the 81). Or they could just be copies, not sure though since its too small in the pics. I read somewhere that he normally uses a DiMarzio PAF Pro in the bridge. I dont know what he uses in the neck or middle position, however.

Looks alright. I wonder if he will sell me his custom B.C. Rich Stealth if he signs with Ibanez?

Search around on that site. You'll see. I honestly don't see a huge difference.Tuning pegs turned upward, and maybe a little less cut then the razorback and a little bit more cut than the Ml models. I like Ibanez and dean so...just stating I've seen the shit before.

I'm convinced that Muhammed could play a pink telecaster-shaped guitar, or a guitar shaped like a huge wang, and people would would go on about how awesome it is.
He should play an Antfarm-itar.

It's obvious the Rich is wavier.
Warriors are cool although I'm a bigger fan of Charvel Stars and most certainly Ironbirds.
I saw another pic of SuiÇmez playing it and Wilson from Gorerotted was running around naked in the background.

That was fucking annoying. I didn't go to a Necrophagist gig to see that guy's tiny penis flapping around.
Anyway, Mohammed's new guitar looks pretty fantastic.

overall i think that guitar is ugly.. transient is right, he should stick with the vigier.. or in the alternative, a BC Rich Bich (only cuz it vaguely resembles the vigier marilyn.. or is that the other way around?) ..i'm just not a fan of the warrior/stealth shape

Hamer never made star/warrior shapes I think...
Kramer had the 2 different Voyager models, 1 of which was a Van Halen signature that was an EXACT copy of the Charvel Star, the lower back wing was shorter than all the others and it was much rounder looking. The other Voyager is a HUGE star shape with very long thin wings and only came in H-H-H configuration.
BCR made the Stealth and Ironbird in around '83.
The Warrior looks more like the Stealth than any of the aforementioned guitfiddles.

Vigier Marilyn = 2x Seymour Duncan SH-5
(high end customs from france: phenowood freatboard, 90/10-neck, zero fret...they do not deal with extreme bands)
Price: around 3000$
BC Rich Stealth = EMG 81 + EMG 85
(Muhammed was not happy with this custom)
Price around 2-2500$
Ibanez Xiphos = EMG 81 + EMG 85
(prototype - comes out 2007 - deal with Necrophagist)
Price: ?
IMO: Marilyn > Stealth > Xiphos

I say Stealth > Vigier > Xiphos. The Xiphos is wicked aesthetically unpleasing to me. I hate the 'chameleon' finish on it (it looks cool, just not on this guitar), the upper rear horn is too big, the extra inside angles on each horn's end is too much, and the reverse headstock and inlays just don't work. The only Ibanez on which the reversed headstock looks good is the Paul Gilbert signature. I really don't see why so many people are all over this guitar, appearance wise. I think Ibanez should just stick with traditional round bodies (with the exceptions of the Iceman and V, cause those are cool). On another note, it does look pretty comfortable to play and I really like how those new DiMarzios sound, except their clean tone isn't really my style judging from the video I included at the bottom (I wish he told us which p/u he was on; probably neck). I just think that if they had a more simplistic approach to the guitar's design I would like it a helluva lot more, because I am a huge fan of the general X style bodies; it's just that a lot of guitar companies get it wrong IMO.

IMO I love this guitar, played one on vacation in Toronto, would have bought it if I had the money at the time, it was extremely comfortable to play, the length of the horns is perfect for sitting down in a classical position. The pickups sounded great clean or dirty on any amp I tried.
and he is using both pickups in the video you posted for his clean lick.
