I am want to redo my old squior strat as a project after i buy a prs custom se
so i can have a differnt guitar to go along with that one i plan to

remove pickguard and add a black one
new pickups(mostkly emgs)
new tone pots
new brige

anything else that could help me get a startocaster sound

ps:this is a project i am not expecting a real fender

Swap the body and swap the neck and tuning machines while you're at it.

Seems like a lot of cash to spend on just upgrading a squire(the singlecoil EMG set is 170$), I think it would be wiser if you saved up just a tad more(probably not even necessary) and got yourself a used Kramer or Charvel strat.

well you have a squer strat, and you want to get a strat sound?? i dont realy get that, was isnt strat enough about your strat??.

i guess some strat pickups would do, cuz i doubt those original squir pickups are any good.
