Black Sabbath - New Album/Tour in 2007; Iommi/Butler/Ward to Tour with Dio as Heaven & Hell in 2007
RONNIE JAMES DIO will be teaming up with the rest of his former band mates in BLACK SABBATH: TONY IOMMI, BILL WARD, and GEEZER BUTLER for a tour that will take place in 2007 under the title HEAVEN & HELL.
The OZZY OSBOURNE camp has issued the following statement:
"Tony Iommi and Ronnie Dio are working on a project together which has nothing to do with Black Sabbath. There is only one Black Sabbath. Ozzy, Tony, Geezer and Bill will be touring late next year along with a new Black Sabbath album. However, Ozzy wishes Tony and Ronnie much success in their project together."

I like the claim that 'there is only one Black Sabbath,' as though Ozzy's membership is really the key and there weren't dozens of versions with Iommi as the only consistent member.
Aside from that, I really don't care. At best it's going to be an early 80's metal album released in 2006 or 2007.

i heard about this. they couldnt get the name Black Sabbath cause Sharon wouldnt allow it or something  . i didnt like Sabbath without Ozzy. it just doesnt sound like Sabbath to me

Sharon's a cunt. It's funny that Ozzy's been so closely associated with the 'real' Black Sabbath when he contributed virtually nothing to the band, even took a few albums to learn how to sing a vocal line that doesn't just follow the guitar.

Butler wrote a bulk of the lyrics. Tony and Geezer the music and Tony did a hell of a lot of the studio work, labouring over the albums at their point of concept. Ozzy just took drugs and sang out of tune live and Sharon claims him to be the daddy of metal alone!
Sabbath with Ozzy is nothing short of a Vegas act!
Dio working with Iommi???? Haven't we been here a few times already in rock history(twice already if I recall) and every time hasn't it ended with recriminations and accusations with Dio being sacked for(amongst other things) allegedly sneaking in to the studio when everybody had gone home and turning his vocals up in the mix! 
I actually found the Iommi/Huges and his previous solo album(not counting Seventh Star album) rather average in the killer riff department 
Infact on the Iommi album everybody just turned up and did piss poor Ozzy impressions, I think Henry Rollins was the only one not to try and imitate Ozzy! |
