Simple Fruity Loops question...

Been makin some pimpin d3@thm3tal b3@tz in Fruit Loops recently after finally learning how to use it properly with some tutorial and found the drum samples I liked but I have a bit of an issue.

I have a pattern in the Playlist editor that is a basic thrash/skank/polka beat, but I made another pattern to follow it that is supposed to be a blastbeat at twice the speed but I can't speed it up, I just get the same skank sound. If I raise the tempo in the top indicator I end up raising the tempo for the whole song.

How do you change the tempo/speed for individual patterns in FL and not for the whole song? Thxorz.

Basically you'll have to do it in "piano roll." What you'll do is right click on the name of the sample like hte kick druma nd go to piano roll. It'll bring up a screen similar to the like overall pattern thing. Well then on the top right you'll see where you can adjust the scope of the lines or whatever. I know this is vague but i'm doing it ll off my memory. Set that to as low as you need, like half a beat or something like that. That will break each of the beats inside the piano window up and will allow you to put smaller timed notes.

Its the same way you would do triplets.

Fucking type it in google to find out and dont fuck up the thread after 1 post.

Ill be honest and say I didn't think you could change the tempo at all. If I wanted to go at double time, I would just piano roll it, painstakingly.

Are you sure it isn't a help topic? You should search in the program dude.

Let me see if I got this right. You want to have say two different patterns at two different tempos? If your mode is set to 'pattern' all settings should be local to just that pattern including the tempo. You can always export individual patterns and use a DAW to mix em all together. I can done that before, but you have to tweak em to get em to flow right.

EDIT: Nope, your right, it's not independent...
