They have amps you'll never have in your lifetime. The best you can do is get as close as you can and be happy with it. That or play their songs with your own unique sound.

turn knobs until you have a sound that you like
, i know this sounds like an asshole comment, but thats the way it is.

also, most songs you hear on an album are mixed and shit, that makes it even more impossible to get the sound they have.

Actually i know a band that HEAVILY sounds like iced earth, i mean thats the only shit they play.

Last i checked they had peavey equipment, and the lead guitarist had one of those boss me somethin super effects pedal board that has a shit ton of sounds. Also they like bc rich guitars.. They sounded probably as close to iced earth as it got.

I would send you to their myspace but i don't think it works anymore... who knows..

dude you cant replicate a pro studio sound and expensive equipment if you dont have it yourself. Every amp and guitar model sounds totally differnet so theres no way anyone will be able to tell you what settings to turn your amp to.

Most live albums are mixed too, either during the show or after so dont expect to sound like them if you dont have their equipment.

seriously with the vamp you wont get shit but if you still want to imitate the sound look for what is the highest EQ shit (hi,mid,lo,....etc...etc..)and just crank that shit then go from there ......for example on slayer's haunting the chapel (cd and song)you clearely hear mids so just play around with the mids then add treble and bass
