Post your favorite Discharge clones.

Yes, yes. Discharge started out as a punk band...then helped to create crossover thrash. Pretty much every band has somehow been influence by them, others completely copy their style. Post your favorite clones.

Disfear
Skitsystem
Broken Bones
Disrupt
Anti-Cimex
Krigshot
Avskum

ive heard these bands, but not really owned thier stuff

im not that into this genre beyond tragedy and HHIG<who are very influenced but not entirely clones>. both avskum and skitsystem have played here within the last 2 years, i missed both those shows.

like thrash metal, the d-beat seems to be comming back into popularity, somewhat nostalgic, somewhat new. there are quite a few bands locally that are good, in that "japanese/swedish"<i love reading this kinda termonology on flyers, i always wonder what people with no idea about this music think>"d-beat/crustcore"<i love all these weird names>kind of style.

there are some heavy thrash crossover stuff in oakland, a bunch of random crust/metal shit somehow friended my band myspace page. bands SO GOOD i want to move there.........like tommorrow.

not really discharge again, but like, as if discharge and venom joined forces<throw in some sabbath for the breakdowns> and recorded on shit gear with a really old half-dead 4 track. im glad someone is still doing the lo-fi thang.

No. Napalm Death, although influenced by, were not a Discharge clone.

Mine are Disrupt, Disfear and Flith. Would Funerot be one? They are crossover/thrash but are extreemly technical and fast. So I guess not but they are still my favourite crossover band.

Are you going to include terrible metal bands that were influenced by the shite 'Grave New World' rubbish? And seeing as Broken Bones were founded by a Discharge member called..er..Bones does that count as a clone band as such??

Still does, but that's why they get away not being called a clone all time.

75% of the bands in Madison are d-beat now. It got annoying hearing the same thing at every show all the time. One show had 4 bands and, literally, the only beat was...da-dada-da-da.
