Silence

this is definitely one of the proggier songs my band is working on, but here are the lyrics:

Silence

Voices echo and catch the ear instilling a wave of joy or fear, and when the echoes bother us no longer the only voice left is that of the voice of silence. But what seemed to haunt us no longer does. For the fear of what is said is buried now. Because of this silence we don't turn our backs and hide. We have discovered that those utterances which brought life and pain don't matter in our gain because silence now reigns.

Yes, i wrote this as more of a poem than lyrics, but it's not a good poem so i decided to turn it into lyrics lol.

Well, that's logic I don't quite agree with, but if you say so.

I liked this piece. It does have a prog ring to it. Kind of thoughtful and mellow yet a little heady.

Hard to use lyrics without form.

And while neither of us agree with that logic, it seems to be the case with 99% of bands. The number of really good lyricists in music is depressingly small.

i usually write my songs in a poetic way, so i mean technically it would have ended up as a song anywas.
