Textures
I picked up Textures' sophomore effort Drawing Circles last week and this album is currently blowing me away. Think Destroy, Erase, Improve-era Meshuggah mixed with sporadic clean vocals and the odd blast beat. Although not as rhythmically challenging as latter-day Meshuggah, they do have a tad more variety to their writing. Despite the obvious comparison that I've made, they haven't become over-indulgent to their influences and have, to these ears, differentiated themselves sufficiently.
So 'Tabbers, opinions.

They're pretty damn amazing. The new album is good but it doesnt touch they're epic song "polars". If you like these guys , check out tesseract and his side band fell silent. Tesseract is mind blowing original stuff.

I downloaded the songs "Regenesis" and "Stream of Consciousness" and liked them. I definitely hear the Meshuggah, but also DEP, Radiation 4, along with other bands of different genres. Sounds pretty promising.
