The question is whether or not Tranny will fall on his sword if it turns out that he accidentally called out a song that was actually on the setlist.

Lol, that happened to me. I was at a local show and for the fuck of it randomly yelled, "FREEEEE BIRD!" The band didn't say a word. They looked at each other for a second and started playing Free Bird.

Just cause something is one of the many causes of something greater doesn't mean it is good.Without yeast infections, there would be no vagasil. I don't see anyone taking the side of the yeast infections.

Although thats funny, you actually have a real point. Sure you still gotta be someone "mindful" of somethings beginnings, but that doesn't mean you gotta like it. For instance, i could seriously careless for about >1976 music. Even most of hte music that i like from about 77-85ish i could careless about as well. Like most "rock music" i really don't like. I just find it to be repetiative and the same thing. Sure somebody could say that about metal I listen to, but what it repeats and is similar to me is more pleasant than what it similar and repetiative in rock music.
Even rock solos get on my nerves most of hte time, cause they almost all sound exactly the same. Just a frenzy of notes, some random bends, and often times the e and b string or b and g string played at the same time.
Sure those can make some good solos, but hte problem is they're usually the same sounding stuff haha.
Oh well anyways, back to what i'm saying, i agree with what was said before. Even early cds in a b and, for instance Dark Tranquillity, i could seriously could pass on Dark Tranquillity cds <2000. They're just not that good.

don't you mean before 1976 and after 2000?
if so, you got the signs mixed up. <(smaller than/before)1976 and >(bigger than/after)2000.
if not, my mistake.

Dude, you're fighting a losing battle. Some of us like hardcore (Misfits, Cro-Mags, D.R.I., stuff like that) but overall.... this thread started talking about the dancing, which all of us can't stand. If we want to think it is a homosexual practice, in our minds, dancing at a metal show is a homosexual practice. So either just give up the argument or swallow some hardcore jizz.

I listen to melodic and symphonic metal, thats what its not enough of for me. mostly all other types of metal just bore me because i, obviously, need melody. i dont even recall hardcore having notes i could tell apart. i dont mean to get you going again, but im just letting you know why i could never like it... because you asked right above. and i dont give two shits about +3knik@l

When I think of "hardcore" I think of Hatebreed, not pioneer punk bands.
Anyways, hardcore dancing is gay and it is dangerous..anyone that ruins a pit with that shit should be stomped.

None of the bands from the late 70s or early 80s pioneered punk. And there's definitely melody in old school hardcore.
However, the dancing is around as gay as a 50x50' wall lined with tv screens playing cornhole porn. And I think this thread's about as gay as it needs to be.
