Gone Away
I'm not sure which direction to go with this one. It's starting to write it's own melody, but I'm not sure if I want it quieter folksy sounding or a little deeper than that. Thanks for reading.
" Gone Away "
Danced through the stars, silent
Burned from the sun's shining rays
Wounded inside by the night and day
Moment by moment, when he's gone away
(Chorus)
Gone away, gone away
Where has he gone
Gone away, I don't want to see the dawn--
Of another day that's missing what we once had
Eyes sparkling in the quiet of the evening
Watching the stardust trickling down from the sky
Hide behind a cloud like my love hides
But carry words, heart to heart, to his side
Moved the mountains, stripped the fields
Shouted cries of triumph and torment
Only to fall silently like the snow falls
Patiently, quietly, dreamily
(Chorus)
Gone away, gone away
Where has he gone
Gone away, I don't want to see the dawn--
Of another day that's missing what we once had
Gone away, gone away
Gone away, gone away
