Speaker noise

My amp is making a nasty sound. I'm thinking the speaker is torn but I'm not sure what it is.
When I play loud palm mutes sound like crap. It sounds like there is something rattling against the speaker but there is nothing there. I took the speaker out, inspected it and found nothing. What could it be?

What kind of amp do you have? If youre using a head and a cab please tell what they are.

Bandit 112. I think maybe I just play it too loud for what the speaker can handle. I guess I need a more powerfull amp.

it seems rather unlikely that a company will put a speaker in a amp that cant handle the amp.. if you get what i mean.
