anyone know where to find backing tracks for guitar without having to sign up for random bullshit or buy anything?

A good way to do it is to get Guitar Pro tabs that have the drums to it, edit it so it is just drums (and bass, guitar 2 if you want) and export as midi, so you can play along with it.
That's probably the easiest way.

If you wan't more realistic drums, you have two options:

a) Make friends with and suck the fuck up to some dude who has made a backing track for a cover or similar (I know there are people with Cannibal Corpse back tracks around)

b) Make one yourself you fucking lazy barstard, its not that fucking hard.

i've been making em myself, a-hole. but its kind of hard when im basically recording it on windows movie maker through a mic, with a goddamn synthesizer that has a drum setting.
