New Guitar What do u think?
i just won this on ebay. 1/2in. flamed maple top, bone nut, grover tuners, ebony fretboard.. $232 bucks can't beat that. if the bridge pickup is not to my liking ill throw my zebra JB in there. i know its not really a bRuTaL looking guitar but it sounds like quality shit at a bargain price. much better than other les paul copys ive seen and the epiphoneys. i think this will be my Eb guitar while my jackson slsmg with active emg will take on the lower tunings so no more tuning back and forth all the time. what do u think?

Very nice looking guitar, indeed! Only thing I'd change is the location of the pickup selector switch. The location of it would bother me so much. Would've been nice if they had taken a picture of the whole guitar.

I agree. I'm not much of a copy fan myself. The paint scheme isn't too shabby. Granted paying big bucks for one would obviously look better. But new pickups could improve it to a degree.

why? to tell you the truth i've not played one, only the true les pauls, but do they offer them with ebony fretboards? and arent they usually at least 400-500 dollars? what do they have thats worth 300 more dollars besides the name? either way, i really only buy guitars with ebony fretboards nowadays just feels much better and thats what made me buy it. oh and i think epiphones are only 1/4in. maple tops if im not mistaken although i dunno how much tonal difference that actually makes. let me know if im wrong on any of this.

sorry to hijack this thread but i found a kramer for $399 AUS with an original floyd rose bridge, it just needs to be cleaned up and have new strings put on but what do you guys think, is it worth? i know the floyd rose is probably worth more than the whole guitar.

Meh, the Floyd isnt worth very much in it, will be corroded and burnished. Kramers are good if they are high end ones, otherwise, the low end models (MIJ'S) can be upgraded with new electronics/hardware, and make a solid player.

Dude, that sounds like a sweet deal, especially considering that you got it for a pricer lower than that of most epiphones. But then again a lot of times there are guitars like that w/ hidden problems and such. I bought a vintage carvin off ebay once and it looked great, was at a decent price, and the guy had all positive feedback, but when i got it, it had some issues w/ pickups and stuff.
