i think if you want tube, good, and cheap... i think the peavey classic series poweramps are a good choice. the have the 60(60w mono) the 120(120w mono) the 50/50(2x50w) the 60/60(2x60w) and the monster 120/120(2x120w) none of them should cost more than $400 used.
the old mesa 50/50's go for a little under $500 used.
