Atreyu is just catchy to me. They'd be better without the singer, I think.
Greenday is just..... Greenday to me. It reminds me of a poppier version of Marilyn Manson, even though I consider Marilyn Manson rather pop.

Atreyu's new music... i don't even know what to say. They've COMPLETELY lost their god damn minds. Everything that was good about the band is gone. Understand having a more developed and mature look on music... i really, do but the shit turned from ... mature... to horribly WHINEY lyrics with not good music.

I haven't Atreyu's new music. I've only heard "The Crimson" and some other song (The name doesn't come to mind).
Similarities between Green Day and Marilyn Manson;
Poor singers
Drumming is simple rock beats (a few exceptions)
Guitar playing and bass sound are similar. Greenday may not be as distorted, but not too big of a difference.
that's just what I get out of them. You may be hearing something different that I'm not hearing, in a matter of speaking.

marilyn manson is at least a thoughtful dude. i hate the guys music but at least the dude has some sense of what he wants to do with the music. the interviews ive seen and read i cant really bash the guy, i dont agree with shock as a musical focus,but at least the guy is aware of what he does and how he is percieved.
those pop bands are making our job as underground musicians easier, people can tell the difference between the trendy shit and the good stuff.
time and the lack of a serious, mature fanbase with crush pop music. they dont need torture, i dont envy thier million dollar "cribs", thier cosmetic surgery fake image, theyre scandalous lives etc. the worst that can happen to them is eventually noone gives a shit about them and thier records are forgotten.

One or two people have pointed this out, but putting inanimate objects into Room 101 would make no sense. The whole point of Room 101 in 1984 was to brainwash rebellious people and make them love Big Brother before disappearing them.
I guess if the point is to just make things never exist, then I'd say:

I buy chips that are cooked in sunflower oil or other oils, they end up with less saturated fat, and I find them much tastier.
