Theory in Practice

Theory in Practice is a Swedish technical death metal band incorporating many influences from progressive metal. The band writes very technical and complex songs consisting of a lot of time and tempo changes. The band was founded in July 1995. After a year of rehearsals and gigs, they recorded a demo called Submissive in the Abyss Studio. They recorded three full-length albums after that. Since December 2002, the band has been on an extended hiatus.
They have 4 albums.

Submissive (demo, 1996)
Third Eye Function (CD, 1997)
The Armageddon Theories (CD, 1999)
Colonizing the Sun (CD, 2002)
Third Eye Function (Remastered CD, 2006)

I have Colonizing the Sun which probably has the best guitar out of all the other albums.

I've only heard Colonizing the Sun, but if the other albums follow the same principle then they're a good example of balance between technical playing and song writing.

Yes, I love these guys. One of my fav tech death bands. Does anybody think that Submissive sounds like Mehuggah's "Future Breed Machine" in some parts?
