Hot damn, I don't listen to Nile and that's STILL a great list.

The only two I can remember are-

Sacrificial Suicide (re-recorded version on Feasting the Beast)- Deicide
I Will Kill You- Cannibal Corpse

...and I can remember because Sacrificial Suicide impressed me enough to go out and buy a Metal Blade DM compilation CD from a Strawberry's out in Raynham, MA. On THAT CD was I Will Kill You and a bunch of songs I didn't like. I decided at that point I needed to hear more Cannibal Corpse. I should point out, for the record, that Metal Blade had won over my trust a couple of years prior when I bought some secondhand Slayer, Nasty Savage, and Fates Warning tapes. As far as I knew at that point, every band on the label rocked balls...

Alarum - Heard them do a Death cover at MDF... had to check them out after that

Amon Amarth - their self titled track, thought it had a cool vibe to it... the battle made me laugh though.

Anata - Downward Spiral was the first song of there's I could actually hear, the rest of the album is damn near flawless.

Arsis - The Face of My Innocence was the first song I heard, my friend has their album and checked it out. Very good stuff, though I'm not too impressed with A Diamond For Disease being 66% cover songs.

Atheist - Room With a View. I have to be in the mood to listen to these guys, but they're really good with what they've done. I'll be in bootcamp when they come around my parts with their tour, which fucking sucks.

Augury - Beatus. I don't know what else to say besides "wow." I got Concealed and the entire 2006 Promo, an amazing, solid band. I can't wait to hear what they do next.

Behemoth - Zos Kia CVLTVS Another great band.. they aren't really fast, or crazy on the fretboard, but their progressions are great, and I love the vocals. ZKC is my favorite album of theirs.

Cannibal Corpse - Stripped, Raped, and Strangled... it's still my favorite song of theirs. Chris Barnes is a great laugh, though.

Carcass - Corporal Jigsore Quandary... fucking Necroticism and Heartwork are essential metal albums, I've been addicted to these guys ever since I heard that kick drum line intro to that song. Killer stuff.

Crowned hahahaha PHASED... I heard all of this shit years ago when they called themselves Excoriated; Phased ver 2B Alpha, Car song, etc. hahaha

Cryptopsy - of course the first song I heard was Phobophile. Great song, great album, but a few friends of mine constantly discourage me picking up any other albums, downsizing the production, etc. Such a shame, these guys are great people, would love to support them more.

Cynic - Veil of Maya, through the rest of the album. Again, all I can say is "wow."

Death - Scavenger of Human Sorrow. Listening to TSOP and working your way backwards was somewhat hard... that's probably why I can't get into SBG or Leprosy. I still think Bill Andrews held back SH, Sam. Bite it hahahaha.

Decapitated - I first heard The Fury, all the way through until The Negation... I didn't think much until I heard Negation's bridge riff... I shit myself, right there in my car hahaha

Decrepit Birth - Prelude to the Apocalypse through the rest of the album. Great band, great stuff. Their new material is also fantastic.

Devourment - Babykiller. I can't take this band seriously, though I don't know if I'm supposed to.. everything I listen, I get to laughing, though these guys do have some killer music backing the ridiculous vocals.

Foreign Objects - Testing. Band that started it all for me, great stuff. UCS is an amazing album.

Gorguts - La Vie Est Prelude download from gorguts.com... I didn't know what to think, at all. It was catchy, but it was fucking insane. I later bought the two from the vaults release, and worked my way up. Probably my favorite DM band.

Immolation - Of Martyrs and Men that Sam sent me a long time ago. I later bought the album, which is probably their best work. I love Dolan's unorthodox vocals, it really adds edge to their sound and lyrics.

Malevolent Creation - Eve of the Apocalypse. This was my first real DM song. I hated it. I got into Death's TSOP, and loved that, and gave this band a second shot. I fell in love that time hhahaha... another one of my top favorite metal bands. Ten Commandments and Envenomed FTW.

Martyr - Warp Zone got into these guys from Gorguts' FWTH album... I love Dan Mongrains style... he's becoming a big influence to my playing.

Necrophagist - Extreme Unction... still one of my favorite songs of theirs. Solid band, though that didn't need to be said.

Pestilence - The Presence of the Dead. I love Testimony and Spheres. I personal think Van Drunen was a better vocalist than Mameli, but Mameli was the better writer.

Severe Torture - Endless Strain of Cadavers... best outro riff I've ever heard. FOTD is a great album, though it's all I've heard from them.

Yattering - The Art of the 20th Century... Murder's Concept is a great album, though again, it's all I've heard from them.

Hell yeah! That song did it for me too. They got rid of the female vocalist, I wish they could get a new, better one though. I can't wait until their new album..which is coming out in 2007 I believe.
More to list.

Atheist - Unholy War
Turisas - RRR
Cadacross - Bring out your Dead
Metallica - Seek and Destroy

I'll shy away from unknown canadian bands. lol.
