I didn't look to see if this has been done before..........I still am really pissed that Anthrax booted John Bush. Pick your fave, you know mine!

Well you should have searched because any thread about Anthrax has this debated topic entrenched within it's posts. And just for the record Bush is my fav because he can 'actually' sing and not just go 'wwwwwwwhhhhhhhooooooOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAHHHHHH! before every guitar solo. Anthrax sold him down the river for cash to do the reunion tour(despite what Scott 'sell out' Ian says). They'll realise what a mistake it was when they release a new studio album with a weaker line up!

This is one of the rare instances where you encounter the truth on metaltabs. Even if you prefer the Belladonna era material (and who doesn't?), you'd have to stick spikes into your eardrums - or just be as willingly self-deaf as any fanboy - not to notice that Bush has an interesting voice and Belladonna's a parody of an 80's cock rock singer.

Right, even though the Sound of White Noise wasn't the best selling album I have loved it for years. Potter's Field being one of the peaks of Anthrax music for me.

Belladonna's lyrics? I think Lilker's the only singer to have even claimed writing lyrics for Anthrax.

I don't recall Belladonna writing much, I think Scott came up with the meledy for the vocals also. Belladonna just pretty much danced around in an indian head dress

I read an interview with Scott and he was so pleased that Bush could bring ideas to the table and help with the song writing!

Writing was pretty much Charlie and Scott. As far as I know, and I can very well be wrong, during the Belladonna years both wrote music and Scott wrote all the lyrics, and during the Bush years Charlie wrote music and Scott wrote lyrics. I've never heard of Bush writing much of anything (I know he didn't do lyrics), but maybe he did his own vocal lines.

Belladona, of course.

Charlie is the main Lyricist, but Belladona sure did wrote some stuff.

Never pay that much attention to most metal lyrics, but I definitely like Bush's voice better, and most of the songs that were written when he was around I prefer to Joey's stuff.

Scott is the main lyricist. I don't think Belladonna even wrote 'Indians.'

Anthrax is still around?

Will Never know then since every album booklet till "Persistence Of Time" doesn't have lyric credits.
