help choosing an amp

i've played acoustic up until now and just bought an esp ec-400. i'm looking to buy and amp but i have very limited resources as far as trying equipment out... so i have to decide based on what i read.

i like the sound from dissection's 'reikaos' album... i don't know if that's standard or what.

i have no idea what i'm looking for... help.

Your best bet would be either:

1.Peavey 5150 head
2.Marshall JCM800 2205 50-watt, or 2210 100-watt (you'd need an overdrive pedal to boost either for a tad more gain)

You can get a 5150 for like $500 I think. The JCM800 will run you about $1000 or more depending on condition. If you find one try to get a late 80's model-they sound better. I am pretty sure Dissection usually played through JCM800's or 900's most of the time. What is your budget?
